What is the contribution of donation for each face mask?
For every face mask sold, Call It Spring will donate 100% of the net proceeds to support racial equality for Black and Indigenous Communities in North America.
What organizations will the proceeds go towards?
Proceeds will be split equally amongst the Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA) and True North Aid (TNA). BBPA's mission is to advance Canada’s Black communities by delivering programs that support business and professional excellence, higher education and economic development; while True North Aid (TNA) is dedicated to serving and supporting northern Indigenous communities in Canada through practical humanitarian support.
Who is the Black Business and Professional Association?
Founded in 1983, the BBPA is a non-profit, charitable organization that addresses equity and opportunity for the Black community in business, employment, education and economic development in Canada by delivering programs that support business and professional excellence, higher education and economic development. They look to encourage and support the pursuit of entrepreneurship, business, professional excellence, higher education and economic empowerment, to facilitate access to people and resources, to identify and reward excellence in achievement, to establish linkages and co-operate with other organizations on matters pertaining to business, education, economic development and community wellness and build cross-cultural understanding and promote equity.
What efforts will be met through the Black Business and Professional Association?
The funds raised in Canada will go towards the BBPA National Scholarship fund, dedicated to supporting and promoting Black Canadian youth through an annual scholarship program.
It's mission is to support the education and development of Canada’s future leaders, through assisting Black youth in their attainment of post-secondary education.
Who is True North Aid?
True North Aid is dedicated to serving and supporting northern Indigenous communities in Canada through practical humanitarian support to close the poverty gap. Established in 2009, their mandate is to provide practical humanitarian assistance through initiatives based on self- determination, reconciliation, water, food, health, housing, hope and education.
What efforts will be met through True North Aid?
The funds will go towards financing backpacks with school supplies for the communities of La Loche, Clearwater River in Saskatchewan, and Pauingassi and Little Grand Rapids in northern Manitoba. Backpacks are especially critical during the COVID-19 pandemic as schools in these communities continue to remain closed at a limited capacity.
